CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- No one was injured when a car slammed into a Charlotte power pole Wednesday morning.
Part of Nations Ford Road is closed near South Tryon Street after a wreck in which a driver lost control of their car and struck a power pole.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have blocked part of Nations Ford Road while crews work to repair the damaged pole.
CMPD said the road will be closed until 1 p.m. Commuters are asked to avoid the area.
